Teen Therapy, centering Asian, BIPOC, LGBTQ+ youth

in person in San Francisco, virtually for residents of California

I support pre-teens and teens through the complex transitions of adolescence—a time often filled with both possibility and overwhelm. Therapy offers a space to slow down, feel heard, and make sense of what they’re going through, at their own pace and on their own terms.

As they build self-awareness, emotional resilience, and self-acceptance, therapy can become a foundation that supports them not just now, but into young adulthood and beyond.

Common concerns I help teens navigate:

  • Academic pressure, performance anxiety, and perfectionism

  • Depression, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm

  • Bullying, social anxiety, isolation

  • Family and cultural conflict, especially around intergenerational expectations

  • Intergenerational trauma and cultural or historical grief

  • Body image concerns, self-harm, and low self-esteem

  • Big life changes—such as moving, immigration, changing schools, or experiencing loss

  • Coming out, exploring gender identity, or sexual orientation

I have a special affinity for working with teens who are:

  • Asian-American, BIPOC, or part of the Asian diaspora

  • Navigating multiple cultural identities—including immigrants, international students, mixed-race teens, and transnational adoptees

  • Neurodivergent, including those with ADHD and autism

  • LGBTQ+

My approach is warm, relational, and grounded in cultural humility. I create a space where teens can bring all parts of themselves—especially those that may feel misunderstood or unseen elsewhere.
