Individual Therapy

in person in San Francisco, virtually for residents of California

I specialize in serving Asians, BIPOC, polyamorous, and LGBTQ+ folx, especially those navigating life at the intersections of multiple identities. Clients often come to therapy to seek support in navigating:

  • Depression, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm

  • Relationship and family conflicts, and in particular around gender roles and cultural and generational divides

  • Racial trauma, systemic oppression (e.g., racism, classism, ableism, cis-heterosexism, fatphobia, mononormativity)

  • Intergenerational trauma

  • Burnout, imposter syndrome, workplace microaggressions, and experiences of the glass or bamboo ceiling

  • Grief and loss—whether of a relationship, community, culture, or motherland

  • Caregiver stress and familial expectations around caregiving

  • Living between multiple cultures and identities

I also work with those exploring:

  • Racial / cultural identity and ancestry

  • Gender identity and expression

  • Sexuality, kink, and transitions into ethical non-monogamy or polyamory

I work from a depth- and liberation- psychology lens, which means I listen deeply, and attune to your social and historical contexts. Together, we’ll give attention to the marginalized or silenced parts of you, so that therapy can address the root causes and layered meanings of your symptoms, towards creating the life and relationships you truly desire.

I invite you to book a free 20min consult with me, where you'd get an idea if we're a good fit for each other. We’ll talk about what you’re seeking, how we might work together, and any questions you may have. I look forward to connecting with you!
