Therapy for Asian, BIPOC & LGBTQ+ Teens in San Francisco

In person in San Francisco or virtual therapy in California

I work with Asian, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ teens through the complex transitions of adolescence—a time often filled with both possibility and overwhelm. Therapy offers a space for teens to slow down, feel truly listened to, make sense of what they’re going through, and get in touch with what they truly want. The self-awareness and self-acceptance that teens develop in therapy becomes a foundation for resilience and confidence as they grow into young adulthood and beyond.

Common challenges I help teens navigate:

  • Academic pressure, performance anxiety, and perfectionism

  • Depression, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm

  • Bullying, social anxiety, isolation

  • Neurodivergence, including ADHD and autism

  • Family conflict, especially around intergenerational & cultural differences

  • Intergenerational trauma and minority stress

  • Body image concerns, self-harm, and low self-esteem

  • Big life changes—such as moving, immigration, or grief and loss

  • Coming out and exploring gender identity or sexual orientation

My approach is warm, relational, and grounded in cultural humility. I blend in exploratory talk therapy that addresses the root causes of symptoms along with practical advice and communication skills. I create a space where teens can bring all parts of themselves—especially those that may feel misunderstood or unseen elsewhere.

I invite you to book a free 20min consult with me, where you'd get an idea if we're a good fit for each other. We’ll talk about what you’re seeking, how we might work together, and any questions you may have. Parents and teens can join the call together or separately, whatever feels right. I look forward to connecting with you!
