Individual and Couples Therapy for Asian, Queer & Poly folx
Online therapy in Palo Alto, Mountain View, San Jose, and across the Peninsula and South Bay
Welcome
The Peninsula and South Bay are home to some of the Bay Area's most vibrant and diverse Asian and BIPOC communities. Whether in tech, education, healthcare, creative fields, or other paths, the region's competitive, hierarchical, and high-pressure culture can bring isolation, burnout, and experiences of othering and disconnection within oneself or in relationships.
I am a first-generation Asian therapist providing liberation-oriented, culturally-responsive online therapy to individuals, teens, and couples, in the Peninsula and South Bay. My practice is focussed on working with clients who are marginalized by dominant culture, centering the experiences of those who identify as Asians and Asian Americans, BIPOC, queer, kinky, polyamorous, or neurodivergent.
My Peninsula and South Bay clients often seek therapy to navigate:
Anxiety and depression
Burnout, workplace microaggressions, pressures of high-achievement culture or model-minority stereotypes, hitting the bamboo or glass ceiling
Grief & loss, whether of a family member, a relationship, or motherland
Neurodivergence and relationship dynamics resulting from ADHD
Recurrent relationship or family conflicts, in particular those rooted in cultural difference, power hierarchies, or intergenerational divides
Systemic oppression and intergenerational trauma
Explorations of their sexuality, gender, polyamory, or the intersections of their identities.

I am glad to provide therapy in a mix of English and Cantonese. If you’re seeking therapy exclusively in Cantonese (e.g. for a monolingual family member), I’m happy to try to find a referral.
